Modernizing the Mod-Era Building's Air-Conditioning System
A 1960s-built office complex wanted to turn its first floor into a high-tech business center. Naturally, the surroundings would have to become more comfortable, placing a heavier burden on the center’s air conditioning. Since the building’s four-pipe fan coil system was about as current as the rotary telephone, that presented a significant challenge. To meet it, the owners chose Daikin®’s VRV® system for its high COP values, low energy consumption and flexible installation qualities. They knew that, compared to traditional central air conditioning, Daikin’s zoned control system cuts down on both power usage and consumption costs. Now the office building’s climate-control center isn’t quite so “far out”. And its office workers enjoy the higher level of productivity that comes with Absolute Comfort.™
