Good news! The American Tax Payer Relief Act of 2012, passed in January of 2013, reinstates the energy efficiency tax credits which expired at the end of 2011. Because the tax credits were made retroactive to January 2012, homeowners with Daikin HVAC systems already installed in 2012 or 2013, as well as any installations up to December 31, 2013 may be eligible to claim up to $300 credit for the cost of equipment and labor on their tax returns, up to a lifetime limit of $500 per homeowner.
